Brussels, 10th October 2013 – Mobistar announces today the departure of Olivier Ysewijn, Chief Strategy Officer and member of the executive committee. Olivier Ysewijn will continue to assume his responsibilities until the end of November 2013.
Olivier Ysewijn started his career with Mobistar at the launch of the company in 1996 and joined the executive committee in 2004. He was in charge of the Corporate Strategy, Development & Communication-team and since more than one year also headed the Business Unit Wholesales and Roaming.
“Over the last 17 years, I’ve always been working with great enthusiasm and conviction at Mobistar. The several financing rounds, the IPO, the continuous evolution of the telecommunication sector and the regulation were unique challenges that Mobistar achieved successfully. I’m leaving with peace of mind: Mobistar has a clear strategy and the necessary means to realize its ambitions.
The future of mobile data offers Mobistar the best guarantee for further growth”, says Olivier Ysewijn.
Jean-Marc Harion, CEO of Mobistar: “As CSO, Olivier has contributed significantly to the success of Mobistar. Together with his colleagues, he made Mobistar grow from a start-up to one of the major players in the Belgian telecommunications market. I really want to thank him for his contribution over the past 17 years and wish him a lot of success with his future plans.”
