Brussels, May 10, 2012 – All the magic of Cannes in your living room, thanks to the “TV Festival de Cannes” channel. For the second year in a row, Belgian television viewers with a Mobistar Digital TV subscription can enjoy the behind-the-scenes action at the Cannes Festival 24 hours a day just like they were right there on the Croisette! Mobistar Digital TV subscribers will get front row seats to encourage the five Belgian actors taking part in the competition: Matthias Schoenaerts, Benoit Poelvoorde, Bouli Lanners, Emilie Dequenne and Jérémie Renier.

The famous red carpet walk, interviews, press conferences, trailers of the films in competition, “photo calls” - the 65th edition of the Cannes Festival, which will be held between May 16 and May 27, 2012, will again provide unforgettable moments for all film aficionados. As in 2011, Mobistar Digital TV customers will get front row seats to experience hour by hour the glamour and the magic of the world’s greatest film festival. With the program “The End”, subscribers will even be able to enjoy end-of-projection live broadcasts of films in the official selection, and immediately know whether a film has moved the audience or not. In addition to the live coverage, “TV Festival de Cannes” will feature many daily reports on the various aspects of the Festival.

Again this year, Belgium will be especially well represented at the Cannes Festival, since 5 Belgian actors and actresses will appear in films taking part in the competition: Matthias Schoenaerts (in “De rouille et d’os” by Jacques Audiard), Benoit Poelvoorde (in “Le grand soir” by Gustave Kervern et Benoit Delépine), Bouli Lanners (appearing in both “De rouille et d’os” and in “Le grand soir”), Emilie Dequenne (in “A perdre la raison” by Belgian director Joachim Lafosse) and Jérémie Renier (in “Elefante blanco” by Pablo Trapero).

Available 24/7 for the entire duration of the Festival (from Wednesday May 16 in the early evening until Sunday 27 at the end of the evening), “TV Festival de Cannes” will be available in French and in English for Mobistar Digital TV clients. This exclusivity for Belgium comes under the partnership formed over ten years ago between the Orange Group, of which Mobistar is a member, and the Cannes Festival.
