Mobistar makes its Dolphin and Panther subscriptions more attractive than ever

Brussels, 8 November 2012 – Effective today, Mobistar is adapting some tariff plans in order to respond to the growing need of Belgian users for mobile Internet. From now on, the Dolphin 15, Dolphin 25 and Panther 30 subscriptions will all be offering 500 MB of data volume per month. In the case of the Dolphin 15, available in a “limited edition” until December 31st, this represents a ten-fold increase in volume!

Mobile Internet is more popular than ever. Today, one mobile telephone of every two sold in a Mobistar Center is a smartphone, while the share of mobile data in Mobistar´s service revenues rose in a single year from 36.7% to 41.6%. Another revealing indicator: more than 80% of the “Animal” subscriptions sold by Mobistar since they were launched at the beginning of April include mobile data. All of which goes to show that being able to surf on their smartphone is becoming a genuine need for a growing number of Belgian consumers.

That’s why Mobistar has decided to adapt some mobile subscriptions in order to make them correspond even better to users’ needs. As of this November 8th, the data volume included in the Dolphin 15 subscription will be multiplied by 10, rising from 50 MB to 500 MB per month. And that´s not all, since at the same time, the call volume included in Dolphin 15 is being doubled. From now on, customers who opt for this subscription will be entitled each month to 2 hours of calls to all Belgian networks at any time of day. And of course, they are still entitled, as was already the case before, to unlimited access to the social networks Facebook and Twitter from their mobile telephone, as well as unlimited SMS. Dolphin 15 ‘limited edition’ is available for all Mobistar customers until 31st December 2012.

But the good news for Mobistar customers doesn´t end there, since mobile Internet is also being boosted in two other tariff plans: the Dolphin 25 subscription is going from 100 MB to 500 MB per month, while the Panther 30 is rising from 200 MB to 500 MB per month. For the existing Dolphin 25 and Panther 30 customers, these adaptations will be implemented automatically during the next invoicing cycle. Existing Dolphin 15 customers who want to benefit from the new conditions need to contact Mobistar’s customer service.
