Brussels, 19 April 2012 – Erick Cuvelier returns to Mobistar. After three years at France Telecom-Orange as VP Group Design & User Experience, from 1st June next he will take up the post of Mobistar CIO and will head the company's IT department. This represents a return to his origins for Erick Cuvelier, as he previously worked at Mobistar from 1996 to 2009.

From 1st March, Mobistar made changes in its organisation to make it simpler and more effective. One of the measures taken is the split of the ITNO department into a Networks department, led by Pascal Koster, and an IT department. The aim of this reorganisation is both to devote more attention to improving the networks and to put IT projects back at the heart of Mobistar's work.

From 1st June this new IT department will be led by Erick Cuvelier. He will have the job title CIO (Chief Information Officer) and will be a member of the Mobistar executive committee. Erick Cuvelier is very familiar with Mobistar: he arrived there in January 1996, nine months before the commercial launch of the brand, and stayed until June 2009. From 2005 to 2009, he held the post of Chief Marketing Officer at Mobistar. He then joined the France Telecom Orange group, where for the last three years he has held the post of VP Group Design & User Experience.

“I am certain that Erick's extensive professional experience will enable him to transform our IT into a competitive advantage for Mobistar”, enthuses Jean Marc Harion, Mobistar CEO. With a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Lille University of Science and Technology, trained as a Commercial Engineer (Bordeaux) then as an IT Analyst (Lille), Erick Cuvelier has nearly 25 years' experience in the telecoms sector. A French national, he is 49 years old and married with one child. Naturally he is a technology enthusiast, and also a fan of sports and oenology.
