April 2nd, World Autism Day. Mobistar, through its Participate! association, presents a new information module

Back to news index
In 2007, Mobistar decided to make a commitment in favour of autism and created an association called Participate!, which brings together the leading autism reference centres and two of the largest parents' associations in Belgium.

The aim of this non-profit organisation is to improve the lives of people with autism, and of those around them, by developing information tools aimed mainly at their parents.

Therefore the association has created a website www.participate-autisme.be where the following information can be found:

- a first part relating to theoretical aspects of autism;
- a second part relating to educational strategies;
- a third part entitled “My child's progress”. This is a tool which enables parents to share information with each other about their autistic children;
- On April 2nd, a new part will appear on the Participate! website: the practical guide will provide a clearer view of where to find practical information relating to particular developments.
This guide will continue to be expanded over the coming months.

The idea of Participate! is to present content that is both accessible and backed by scientists. The site includes many testimonials and illustrative videos.
