10 start-ups selected for the final round of the first Orange Fab season of Belgium and Luxembourg on 30 November 2017

Orange Fab, Orange’s exclusive international accelerator network, kicked off its first edition in Belgium and Luxembourg this September. Sixty start-ups submitted an application to participate. Beginning November, twenty start-ups presented their innovative products and services to a jury of professionals. Ten have now been selected for the final round. On November 30th, they will have the opportunity to pitch in front of a jury to be selected to enter this prestigious programme.The main objective of Orange Fab is to create a commercial partnership between start-ups and the Business Units of Orange Belgium and Luxembourg. The Orange Fab start-ups will also benefit from an important visibility and will be invited in some major international events. Up to three start-ups will benefit from this programme.

On 1 September 2017 Orange Fab BeLux opened its doors for the first time to Belgian and Luxembourg start-ups that are developing new products and innovative services in sectors such as big data, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, mobile video content, networks … From the sixty start-ups that submitted an application, ten were selected for the final round of Orange Fab, developed by the Orange Group to support and promote talents that will change the way we live and work tomorrow. Thanks to Orange Fab, up to three start-ups will be offered specific support to accelerate their development in Belgium and Luxembourg as well as internationally, leveraging the worldwide presence of Orange in 29 countries and with more than 250 million customers.

Final round on 30 November: who will be officially accepted into Orange Fab?

The start-ups selected by Orange Belgium’s Executive Committee on 30 November will be offered three months of commercial acceleration and dedicated mentoring (defined according to their specific needs) by recognized experts. After the acceleration phase on a national level, the start-ups will be guided in their international expansion through the Orange Fab network.

The 10 finalists are:

  1. Charlie24’s ‘Assistance-on-Demand’ app enables drivers to quickly contact road assistance via their smartphone by offering the details of local professionals and their tariffs. More info on www.charlie24.com.

  2. Chestnote developed contextual message technology enabling users to send messages that can only be read at a certain location and at a specific time. More info on www.chestnote.com.

  3. Communithings developed smart parking solutions to help cities deal with mobility problems. More info on www.communithings.com.

  4. Dronegrid helps enterprises increase operational efficiency by giving access to accurate aerial information. More info on www.dronegrid.com.

  5. Infinity Mobile offers mobile order & pay solutions via Shopitag. Customers can create pop-up stores based on their current webshop. More info on www.infinity-mobile.io.  

  6. The Jooki of MuuseLabs is a smart speaker that helps young children to become more independent in a playful way and boosts their imagination without gluing them to a screen.More info on www.jooki.rocks

  7. Prediktiv.care is a mobile communication platform that diminishes red tape for medical personnel by 66% thanks to real-time info so they can focus solely on their caring activities. More info on www.prediktiv.care.com.
