Brussels, 15 May 2013 – As of May 22nd, Mobistar will suspend the marketing of its Internet, fixed telephony and TV offers for residential customers. Mobistar is refocusing its portfolio of fixed products and services on the business market because experience on the residential market has shown that the current regulation makes it impossible to offer profitable fixed services using the network of the incumbent operator. Mobistar reiterates its confidence in the competent authorities to quickly and effectively pursue regulation of the cable under conditions that allow a real opening of the fixed market, and this for the benefit of all consumers. Mobistar’s decision does not concern the market of convergent services to companies, where Mobistar is accelerating its investments and reconfirms its ambition to be a leading player.
