Executive committee

On January 1st, 2008, Benoit Scheen became the CEO of Mobistar.

Benoit Scheen joined Mobistar in November 2005 as Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Executive Committee. He was responsible for all commercial and customer related matters within the company, as well in the consumer as in the professional market. He reorganized the operational sales activities which allowed Mobistar to increase its customer base up to more than 3.2 million customers over the past 2 years.

He started his carreer in a research program at Siemens-Nixdorf in Germany.

In 1991 he started with IBM as a systems analyst.

One year later, he joined Compaq where he became soon the sales manager for the major accounts.
In August 2000, he was appointed Enterprise Business Unit Director, an assignment he later on combined with the role of Marketing Director.

When HP and Compaq merged in May 2002, Benoit was asked to take the international responsibility of the Personal Systems Group in Western and Northern Europe (Benelux, Sandinavia, Baltics, Switserland and Austria).
In 2004 he was appointed Vice President and Managing Director of HP Belgium and Luxembourg.

In November 2007, Mobistar appointed Pascal Koster as CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and member of the Executive Committee of Mobistar.

He will retain his role as managing director of VOXmobile in Luxembourg and will share his time between these functions and his new function.

Pascal Koster is qualified as an electrical and technical engineer, with a specialisation in telecommunications, at the Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich.

He gained an MBA at the Sacred Heart University, Connecticut.

After spending seven years at CEGEDEL, he entered the TELE2 group as Managing Director of TANGO S.A.

In November 2003, together with Jean-Claude Bintz and the investors AUDIOLUX S.A. and BIP Investments S.A., he created the telecom operator VOXmobile.

Stephane Beauduin began his career at Mobistar in 2004 as marketing director for the business market. He introduced the first integrated solutions for the professional market and positioned Mobistar as a 'customer centric operator'. Thanks to his FMCG experience he renewed the product portfolio, the brand and the ´go-to-market´ strategy for both the residential and the business markets.

Stephane Beauduin is a 43 year-old commercial engineer from the Solvay Business School and a dyed-in-the-wool marketer. Stephane has 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, operations and general management in the FMCG, travel, online distribution and telecom sectors. He began his career at Procter & Gamble. He held various marketing and sales management positions in the Benelux, the US and the United Kingdom. He then led the start-up of a pan-European business unit for online travel for the group Expedia.com, the world’s largest online travel organisation. In 2004 he came to Mobistar and became marketing director for the business market. Since November 2007 Stephane has combined his marketing position with that of Deputy Chief Marketing Officer.

Werner De Laet became Chief Financial Officer of Mobistar on June 1st 2006. He has been working in the Finance department at Mobistar for the past 8 years, during which he has steadily taken on greater responsibilities.

Werner De Laet graduated as a business engineer from the Solvay School of Management in Brussels, and also obtained an MBA from the .Vlerick Management School in Ghent.

He started his career in the financial world at Arthur Andersen, where he gained experience in the financial management of companies in the telecommunications sector, among others.

Five years later, Werner moved on to SIPEF, an agro-industrial group, where he was responsible for the management of information systems and financial control.

In 1998, Werner joined Mobistar as Financial Information Systems Manager, shortly after becoming Business Unit Finance Manager.

In 2001, he was appointed Head of Business Controlling, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. As of June 1st 2006, Werner De Laet oversees the company’s general financial policy.

On 1 August 2008 Paul Baeck became Chief Commercial Officer of Mobistar. He is in charge of all the company’s commercial activities within the residential and professional markets and the customer service department. As COO, he is also a member of Mobistar’s Executive Committee.

He started his career as Controller at Peaudouce.

In 1989 he transferred to Midas, where he held the same job. From 1990 until 2000, he was Managing Director at Midas. He contributed to better sales results by means of an effective network reorganisation (50 points of sale), based on a new marketing plan. At the time, the franchise was also successfully launched in Belgium. As well as developing new lines and adapted products, Paul Baeck was also responsible for the company’s administrative and financial management.

In 2002, he joined The Phone House as Sales & Marketing Director. After only one year, he was promoted to the position of Managing Director. He created and organised an entirely new management team at The Phone House. Under his supervision, the number of points of sale evolved from 40 to 120 in Belgium. He also developed a business model that was tailored to the Belgian market. Under his guidance, the company’s market share rose from 4 to 14%. He also worked towards creating distribution channels in partnership with Carrefour, Traffic and Proximus.

Paul-Marie Dessart studied law at the University of Liège, after which he continued his fiscal and financial studies at the State University of Ghent.

He began his professional career in the banking sector in London, before practising law at the bar in Brussels. He then worked for Sabena where he became head of the legal department. After that he joined Mobistar in 2001 as General Counsel, Head of Legal and Regulatory. He has also been running Human Resources since 2005.

He is now the Secretary General of Mobistar.

On 1st October 2007 Anne Cambier, Chief Procurement and Process Officer, became responsible for purchasing, supply chain and the optimisation of Mobistar procedures and internal organisation.

Anne joined the Mobistar Sales Department in 1999, where she held various positions in program management, business engineering and distribution strategy. In 2005 Anne was appointed Director of Sales Activities in the business and residential markets.

Anne started her career at Accenture, where she managed many projects in business process engineering, supply chain and sourcing strategy for businesses in industry, fast-moving consumer goods and utilities.

Anne is a civil engineer (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) with an MBA (Solvay Business School). She is also an APICS certified professional (American Production & Inventory Control Society).

Anne is married with two children.

Olivier Ysewijn is Chief Strategy Officer and is in charge of strategic marketing and the business planning. Together with the Financial Manager, he is responsible for the relationships with the analysts and investors.

He first gained a licentiate degree in Applied Economics from the RUCA in Antwerp, followed by a Master of Science in Management and a Certificate of Achievement in International Finance from Boston University.

Olivier Ysewijn began his career in the banking sector (Generale Bank). He later held the positions of Associate in the EAME treasury & corporate finance department, and Associate Finance Director Benelux at Wang.

In April 1996 he started as Financial Controller of Mobistar, and in 1998 was responsible for coordinating Mobistar's stock-market flotation.

He subsequently held the position of Head of Corporate Finance, before being appointed to his current position.

In addition, since 2001 Olivier Ysewijn has been a director in various holding companies of the France Télécom Group (Wirefree Services Belgium, Atlas Communications and Wanadoo International).
